How it works

1

Join your Webex call as usual

Nothing changes about how you use Webex. Use the desktop app or browser — Localingo works alongside either.

2

Allow screen audio when prompted

No installs, no plugins, no bot joining your call. Open Localingo in a browser tab and grant screen audio access when the browser asks — that's all it needs to start translating.

3

Follow every word, in your language

Live captions appear as people speak, translated into your language in real time. Everything is saved to your meeting history.

What you get alongside every Webex call

Every word translated as it's spoken

Your Webex call is transcribed and translated into your language within seconds — across 90+ languages — so you follow every word as it happens, not a delayed summary.

Every meeting saved — transcript and translation, in your language

After the call ends, every Webex session is in your dashboard — full transcript, translation, and a searchable record. Webex AI summaries are generated in the meeting's spoken language with no option to translate them. Localingo stores everything in your language, across every platform — ready for AI-powered notes and search.

Stays on screen while you use Webex

Picture-in-Picture mode keeps captions and translations visible even when Webex is in the foreground. Switch between windows freely — captions follow you.

Webex's translation: 16 spoken languages, a paid add-on, and admin approval required.

Your IT admin has to turn it on

Webex's real-time translation is a separately purchased licence. Your IT admin has to buy it, assign it to your account, and enable Webex Assistant in settings before you can use it. It's not something you can turn on yourself. Localingo works on any Webex account the moment you open it.

Desktop only, and only 16 spoken languages

Translation doesn't work in the Webex browser app — desktop only. And it only recognises 16 spoken languages on the input side. If your speaker's language isn't on that list, there's nothing to translate. Localingo supports 90+ spoken languages and works wherever the meeting is.

AI notes come out in the meeting's language — and only cover Webex

Webex AI summaries are generated in the language the meeting was held in. If you needed translation during the call, you'll need it again for the notes. And those notes only cover Webex meetings. Localingo stores everything in your language, from every platform.
